Spring Movie Preview 2013

As always, the Spring lineup of movies is a mixed bag of tricks. Usually there’s at least a few gems, but Hollywood typically likes to put its forgettable movies between Oscar season and the Summer season. Here’s a list of what movies I’m looking forward to this Spring.
10: Side Effects
Soderbergh seems to make nothing but high quality movies. But it’s been a while since one of his trailer have enticed me enough to really get excited. Probably not since The Informant!
9: A Glimpse Inside the Mind of Charles Swan III
I’m excited to see what Roman Coppola has up his sleeve without Wes Anderson. Also, this movie just looks insane.
8: The Incredible Burt Wonderstone
Ummmm, yes.
As much as I hate to see more Die Hard movies being made, I always like to see John McClane on the big screen.
6: Oblivion
I’m mostly excited to see this because of Claudio Miranda’s cinematography, but the story looks intriguing enough that I’ll see this down the road.
5: Stoker
This looks creepy as hell and with Chan-wook Park at the helm this is promising.
4: Trance
If you know me you probably know that I’m not Danny Boyle’s biggest fan. I can respect his work though, and Trance does intrigue me.
3: 42
I’m a big fan of Jackie Robinson’s story and this film looks like it (ha) knocks it out of the park. This is a fantastic trailer.
This being Derek Cianfrance’s first feature since Blue Valentine has me amped. Excited to see some more of his work.
It’s no surprise that Malick’s new film has the most beautiful trailer. After The Tree of Life blew me away, I’ve been waiting impatiently for this film.
