Carlin and I discuss Sean Connery’s second of three farewells to James Bond in Pod, James Pod‘s newest episode covering Diamonds Are Forever. We delve into Proto-Pepper, North Dakota, Moneypenny’s evil streak, and of course, Bambi and Thumper.
With the awards season consisting mostly of talk surrounding snubs, it will be nice to finally have the actual Oscars ceremony and be done with it. I’m a firm believer that this year is top heavy in regards to movies that will be remembered far in the future. At the same time, I think it’s a diverse year with lots of races far from wrapped up. There probably won’t be any dominant film like Gravity was last year or The Artist 3 years ago. Maybe that’s because none of the Best Picture nominees look capable of sweeping any of the technical awards.
